SWV ou Sisters With Voices groupe de trois chanteuses d'RnB américain crée en 1990 à New York. Ces trois amies sont : Cheryl "Coko" Gamble-Clemons (née le 13 juin 1974), Tamara "Taj" Johnson-George (née en avril 1974) & Leanne "Lelee" Lyons (née le 17 juillet, 1973).

Elles commencent par "Right Here" sur le sample de Human Nature de Michael Jackson dans lequel rap un jeune inconnu Pharrell Williams. Le morceau "Weak" composé par Brian Alexander Morgan devient lui aussi N°1 aux USA en 1993 pendant 2 semaines.
En 1997 sort l'album Release Some Tension dans le quel on trouve la participation de Missy Elliott, Sean Puffy Combs, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown ou Snoop Dogg mais c'est le single "Rain" qui attire toute l'attention du publique.
