Rod Temperton, (Rodney Llyn Temperton son nom en entier)est né à Cleethorpes en Angleterre en 1948. Il a fait partie du groupe funk/disco Heatwave. Il a été nommé aux Oscars pour la bande son de The Colour Purple.
