עברית: B-17 מבצר מעופף הוא מפציץ כבד מתוצרת ארצות הברית. מטוס הבואינג B-17 מבצר מעופף היה המפציץ הכבד בעל ארבעה מנועים הראשון שיוצר בצורה המונית. זהו אחד המטוסים שנבנו בכמויות הגדולות ביותר מעולם.
日本語: B-17は第二次世界大戦時のアメリカ陸軍航空隊の主力大型爆撃機。アメリカ合衆国、ボーイング社の製造。「4発大型爆撃機は鈍重なので夜間爆撃にしか使えない」という当時の常識を破った画期的な高速爆撃機で、別名、フライングフォートレス（空の要塞）。
