Photo taken by DanielCD in March of 2004. This is a "tauroctany" statue of Mithras slaying a bull. Statue is in the Hall of Animals, Vatican Museum, Rome. I am uncertain as to the dating of this piece, and am trying to research it. It could be a restoration of an ancient piece. The fact that Mithras is looking toward the bull is a rarity in ancient presentations, so it could be a renaissance-era mistake.

(This is a very odd comment! Mithras is not looking either at the bull, or even at the sword he is using to slay it. His face is turned forwards, as usual, but also tilted forwards, which is not usual. TTaylor)
