Melissa Gilbert est une actrice américaine née le 8 mai 1964. Elle est célèbre pour avoir joué Laura Ingalls dans la série La Petite Maison dans la prairie, ainsi que dans de nombreux téléfilms.
Elle a été mariée à Bo Brinkman, dont elle a eu un fils nommé Dakota-Paul né en 1989. Par la suite, elle s'est mariée le 1er janvier 1995 à Bruce Boxleitner, dont elle a eu un fils né en octobre 1995, Michael-Garrett.
Elle est la sœur de l'acteur Jonathan Gilbert, alias Willie Oleson dans La Petite Maison et de l'actrice Sara Gilbert, alias Charlene dans la série Roseanne.
