Jamyang Norbu

Jamyang Norbu (tibétain=འཇམ་དབྱངས་ནོར་བུ wylie='jam-dbyangs nor-bu) est un influent[1],[2] activiste et écrivain politique tibétain, vivant actuellement en exil en Inde. Dans sa jeunesse, il a joint brièvement la résistance tibétaine (Chushi Gangdruk) au Mustang. Plus tard il fondé et a dirigé l'Institut Amnye Machen[3], un Centre tibétain d'études approfondies, à Dharamsala. Son opposition implacable à la loi chinoise au Tibet l'a mené à critiquer la stratégie du Gouvernement tibétain en exil, qu'il considère comme trop conciliant[4] [5]. Ses tentatives ont été aussi ridiculisé par les autorités chinoises comme « les ailes d'une mouche battant contre un galet »[6]. Norbu a rédigé plusieurs livres et pièce de théâtre en anglais et en tibétain. En 2000, il a reçu le prix Hutch Crossword Book Award, le plus grand prix littéraire de l'Inde, avec son livre Le Mandala de Sherlock Holmes.[7],[8],[9]. Le livre a été publié aux USA en 2001, initiallement sous le titre Sherlock Holmes - The Missing Years.
