Italiano: Istanbul: l'obelisco cosiddetto "di Teodosio" (in realtà antico egizio, eretto in origine da Tutmosi III) che fungeva da meta nell'immenso ippodromo costruito dagli imperatori romani e bizantini. Fu eretto nel 390 d.C., e l'impresa fu giudicata di tale rilievo che le fasi dell'erezione dell'immenso monolito sono illustrate nel piedistallo su cui è montato.
