Herbert Blache-Bolton est un réalisateur, producteur et scénariste britannique née d'une mère française le 5 octobre 1882 à Londres (Royaume-Uni), Il décédé le 23 octobre 1953 à Santa Monica (États-Unis).
Il était marié à Alice Guy et eurent 2 enfants, Simone et Réginald Blache-Bolton.

Herbert Blache-Bolton arrive en 1905 d'Angleterre pour travailler comme caméraman à la Gaumont Compangnie, il travaille au côté d'Alice Guy (Mlle Alice) en 1906 il part avec l'équipe Gaumont pour le tournage de Mireille aux Saintes Marie de la Mer est à Nimes il ce lie à Alice Guy qui deviendra l'année suivante 1907 Madame Alice Blache-Bolton. Il est envoyé pour sa connaissance de l'anglais aux États-Unis. comme directeur des studios Gaumont à Flushing (New-York). Dès le départ d'Alice Guy qui crée sa production "la Solax", Il engage Loïs weber première Américaine réalisatrice. Plus tard il devient un réalisateur de renom, en tournant avec Buster Keaton puis devient producteur de l'universel et scénariste.
