بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
bi-smi llāhi r-rahmāni r-rahīm
Im Namen des gnädigen und barmherzigen Gottes.
2.
الحمد لله رب العلمين
al-hamdu li-llāhi rabbi l-ʿālamīn
Lob sei Gott, dem Herrn der Menschen in aller Welt,
3.
الرحمن الرحيم
ar-rahmāni r-rahīm
dem Barmherzigen und Gnädigen
4.
ملك يوم الدين
māliki yaumi d-dīn
der am Tage des Gerichts regiert!
5.
اياك نعبد واياك نستعين
iyyāka naʿbudu wa iyyāka nastaʿīn
Dir dienen wir, und dich bitten wir um Hilfe!
6.
اهدنا الصرط المستقيم
ihdinā s-sirāta l-mustaqīm
Führe uns den geraden Weg,

صرط الذين انعمت عليهم غير المغضوب عليهم ولا الضالين
sirāta lladhīna anʿamta ʿalaihim ghairi l-maghdūbi ʿalaihim wa-lā d-dālīn
den Weg derer, denen du Gnade erwiesen hast, nicht (den Weg) derer, die d(ein)em Zorn verfallen sind und irregehen!
