Description

Das Bild wird heute als Leihgabe der Stadt Nürnberg im Germanischen Nationalmuseum (Gm 167) aufbewahrt, ebenso wie das Pendant, welches Kaiser Sigismund von Luxemburg darstellt (Gm 167). Dürer malte diese als "Kaiserbilder" bekannten Idealportraits im Auftrag der Reichsstadt für die sog. Heiltumskammer.
